NEIKO review: our verdict
Chez NEIKO, lunch is served between two slices of sliced bread: the katsu sando, the house's signature dish, shares the spotlight with tuna onigiri. Ingredients are fresh and quality is evident. For drinks, you move from matcha to tiramisu latte, the most unique beverage in the house.
The room is small, calm and cosy, with a Japanese atmosphere that invites you to linger; at the counter, service is friendly and attentive. You come alone or with a companion for a quick lunch, or take your sando to go. Purists returning from Japan might be surprised: here, the tuna-mayo sando arrives gratiné with cheese, a very free interpretation of the Tokyo sando. And don't expect to dine late, as the house closes at 8:30 pm.
The dish to order: the katsu sando, with a tuna onigiri. The trap: come on a Monday, doors closed; from Tuesday to Sunday, service starts at 12:30 pm.
