SOY review: our verdict
Precisously seasoned dishes and ingredients that clearly show careful selection define SOY, an Asian restaurant with a strong Japanese influence capable of converting even those who thought they didn't like the cuisine. The menu is extensive, and the detox juice is worth ordering to start the meal.
The unpretentious yet warm dining room at Hay Riad is perfect for a quiet dinner for two or with friends. Service varies by evening, sometimes impeccable and other times slightly off, so it's best to arrive without checking your watch. Those with big appetites will find portions measured according to the bill, and the kitchen operates from noon until midnight, every day.
The catch: finishing with desserts, the weakest part of the menu, where only the cheesecake saves the day. As for sushi, the chef's selection lacks variety, being too focused on tuna.
