Restaurant Saveur de Poisson review: our verdict
Here, you do not order; you are served. Saveur de Poisson offers a singular menu: fish broth, a substantial starter blending fish and shellfish, occasionally a tajine of fillets cooked à la fricassée style, followed by a platter of whole fish and shark skewers to share. Seasonal fruits conclude the meal, enjoyed with wooden Berber cutlery.
Hassan, the owner, sets the tone all by himself, balancing humor with attentiveness in a small room at the foot of the Waller staircase, where the atmosphere remains that of a neighborhood spot. It is the table for hearty appetites, the curious, and lovers of simply grilled fresh fish. It is not for those who wish to choose their dish, watch their waistline, or dine in forty minutes: the wait can stretch, and quantity is king. Some dishes are cooked a bit too long, but generosity prevails.
The best time to arrive: just before 1 p.m., the opening hour, to snag a table. The trap: Friday, the day it is closed. The good tip: the unique menu, priced at around 270 DH (25 €) (as of May 2026), enough to last until evening.
