SĀNUJ review: our verdict
SĀNUJ's Moroccan cuisine doesn't aim to surprise; it strives for precision. The chicken pastilla has its loyal followers, the harira is one you'll finish spoon by spoon, and the sea bream tajine as well as the beef couscous demonstrate a cuisine that masters its cooking. The plates arrive carefully arranged, set within a décor that reimagines Moroccan codes.
The restaurant is part of the Rabat Marriott, in Agdal, and you'll find the hotel's rigor here: professional service, attentive welcome, and music that accompanies the meal without overpowering it. Perfect for introducing visiting friends to Moroccan classics, pulling off a business dinner, or marking a special meal for two. Less so for a daily tajine: you're paying here for the setting of a grand hotel, and the city has simpler, cheaper Moroccan tables.
The dish to order: the chicken pastilla, preceded by a harira. The restaurant is open every day from 12 pm to 11 pm, leaving you the choice between lunch and dinner to music.
