Bonheur Kebap review: our verdict
Bissap in a kebab sauce: the idea is surprising, yet it makes all the salt of Bonheur Kebap. The house imports Berlin-style döner to Casablanca, with fresh vegetables, feta for the creamy side, and a crispy bread, all so well-stuffed that one rarely finishes it in one go. The fries follow, golden when the kitchen is having a good day.
The venue is small, the team is kind and helpful, and you can eat on-site, take away, or get delivery, with air conditioning and wifi for those who linger. Perfect for a late-night hunger or a solo lunch quickly dispatched. Avoid if you expect a watchmaker's consistency: from one order to the next, the chicken goes from well-marinated to bland, and the sandwich may lack filling.
The dish to order: the classic döner with all the house sauces. The trap: the falafel menu and its durum, the least developed part of the menu. The good slot: Friday or Saturday evening, when the counter serves until 1 a.m.
