Homu review: our verdict
Homu has a chef who loves to surprise, and it's evident from the menu: a Japanese cuisine blended with other influences, thoughtfully plated for both the eye and the palate, generous portions, and fresh ingredients. Some creations play up the sweet side, including the divisive sushi mojito.
The zen, clean, and calm atmosphere, combined with attentive, almost complicit service, make this spot on Avenue de Nice a great choice for a dinner for two, a meal with friends, or a small family occasion. Purists of classic sushi may be put off by the sweet-salty pairings, and other dishes, such as overly oily sushi or poorly mastered teriyaki, have already missed the mark. The pace between courses also slows down sometimes when the restaurant is full.
The trap: ordering sushi without checking the bill, 180 DH for eight pieces (July 2025). The good tip: book online and enjoy the convenient parking in the neighborhood. The best time slot: in the evening, from 7 pm, when the zen atmosphere truly comes into its own.
