Chez L'maestro review: our verdict
No frozen food between the sea and the plate: that is the very reason for Chez L'maestro's existence. In Tamaris, the house serves shareable starters, a hit seafood tajine, and fish chosen first for their freshness, all within a tastefully decorated dining room.
The tables suit outings with friends or family for a meal focused on the sea, without pretension. The welcome is smiling and the atmosphere relaxed. But the kitchen has its difficult days: an hour's wait is not excluded, fries may arrive lukewarm, some main dishes are missing, and portions remain measured. Not for a hurried lunch or very large appetites.
The dish to order: the fish, the real reason to come, or the seafood tajine. The trap: come on a Friday, it's the day of closure. The good tip: ask upon arrival what is available, rather than sticking to a dish spotted on the menu.
