Darb Side review: our verdict
The coffee is flawless: well-made espresso, decaf that isn't a compromise, excellent tea, and orange juice to follow. Darb Side focuses on substance rather than decor, operating as a neighborhood café on Boulevard Toubkal in Tamaris, open from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
For morning coffee, afternoon tea, or an unpretentious breakfast, this spot delivers, and some staff go out of their way to please. However, the food quality is uneven: rye toast topped with a single egg, pastries simply reheated, muesli that doesn't appear homemade, and menu ingredients sometimes missing, such as berries for the pancakes. Not ideal for a brunch where you expect an overflowing table.
The best deal: a coffee or tea paired with orange juice, the house's winning duo. The pitfall: ordering a full breakfast when you're in a hurry, as wait times can reach forty-five minutes.
