Ma Poêle Smoke House review: our verdict
A drizzle of green oil over the pasta elevates a simple dish into a signature moment at Ma Poêle Smoke House on Rue de l'Hôtel de Ville. The kitchen revisits classic recipes with a twist, serving smoked turkey carbonara and grilled chicken pasta with herb cream, while also mastering the grill with perfectly seared skewers, fragrant rice, fried vegetables, and whole wheat bread.
This is a place to eat well without ceremony, whether you are dining alone, with a partner, or in a small group, thanks to quick and friendly service. The setting remains modest with outdoor seating and no pretension about its decor; those seeking a dimly lit room for a special dinner will be looking in the wrong place, while those who judge a restaurant by its food and bill will be pleasantly surprised. The only drawback noted is the inclusion of frozen fries alongside otherwise more carefully prepared sides.
The dish to order is the grilled skewers, cooked to perfection. The best value is the pasta, at 45 DH per plate (as of May 2026), enough for a dinner without breaking the bank. Open every day from 12:30 to 1:00.
