Nono Sea Taste review: our verdict
The moment to aim for is sunset: Nono Sea Taste's terrace faces the Tangier Bay, and evening light makes up half the meal. The cuisine is Mediterranean, fresh, and served in noticeable crockery, under a décor blending Mediterranean and Latin touches. Octopus and seafood take the lead, but it's the starters that surprise: you order one, then add another.
Dimm lighting, music that lets conversation flow: perfect for a couple's dinner, a mother-daughter tête-à-tête, or a night out with friends who want to get along. Service is adequate, nothing more, and could be more attentive given the stated standing; as for the food, it doesn't impress everyone. Not for a tight budget nor for a night out to dance: here, you pay for the view and the calm.
The dish to order: octopus, followed by a round of shared starters. The right time: an hour before sunset, to watch the bay change colour. The trap: come on a Monday, the house is closed.
