Dar Harruch review: our verdict
A tea, a plate of cut fruit, and some cakes: at Dar Harruch, the end of the meal often brings what you didn't order. In the alleyways of Tangier's medina, the house cultivates this hospitality around a straightforward Moroccan cuisine, where couscous takes center stage alongside chicken pastilla, lamb tajine, and a few plates of squid and shrimp.
The room is small and lively, and the staff is happy to accommodate requests, including allergies. It's a good table for a first dinner in the medina, with friends or for two, when you want to eat Moroccan food in a cheerful atmosphere. Tight budgets will look closely at the menu: you're in a tourist zone, and lamb costs extra, with two tajines, a harrouch salad, and water coming to 350 DH for two (as of May 2026).
The dish to order: couscous, preferably with lamb. The good tip: start with the harrouch salad, the house salad that bears the address's name.
