Salon Bleu review: our verdict
A small spiral staircase leads up to the second terrace, where Salon Bleu truly comes into its own: the view stretches out over the sea, the city, and the Kasbah. The house, spread across several levels, is not large; its white and blue decor sets the tone, while the homemade Moroccan cuisine, beautifully presented, is shared around small mezze.
Yes, the address is touristy, and so what? The dishes are good, the prices remain reasonable, and you can come here just as much for a brunch with friends as for a dinner for two. Not for those in a hurry: the service takes its time, and the upper terrace is earned step by step, something tired legs from the medina will appreciate only moderately. For a leisurely meal facing the sea, however, the wait is forgiven.
The trap: the house is closed on Tuesdays; on other days, it serves from 11 am to 11 pm. The tip: go straight up to the second terrace, even if you have to wait for a table to free up.
