Restaurant Al Achab Medina review: our verdict
Here, you don't choose your dish, you choose your set menu. The Tangier-style seafood menu strings together a spice-infused soup, a prawn and seafood tajine with spinach, small bowls of olives, chili peppers, and dried fruits, and finally, in the most complete option, a grilled skewered fish. For dessert, there are fresh fruits, and homemade juices are served throughout the meal.
Located at Dar D'Bagh, high above the port, the restaurant plays the traditional card: blue zellige, striped tablecloths, clay jugs, and a spread of herbs and spices. Through the windows, the port of Tangier stretches out below. This is the address for a first Tangier breakfast, between friends or family, appreciated by locals and visitors alike. Not for those who want to compose their own meal: the set is rigid and there is no à la carte menu.
The best time slot: lunch, to enjoy the view; ask for a table along the windows. The best deal: the menus are generous, no need to order one per person with children. Price: 200 DH per menu, 250 DH with the grilled fish (prices as of September 2025).
