Our review
The initials stand for Cristiano Ronaldo, but at Pestana CR7 Marrakech the star is the service. The valet will fetch your car from the parking lot on every request, housekeeping attends to the little details, and the contemporary, spacious room can take on the air of a small apartment, with a living area and a kitchen equipped with a microwave and Nespresso machine. On the roof, Akira Back blends Japan and Korea, with sushi and AB Tuna Pizza at the top, overlooking the city.
Avenue de la Ménara, at M Avenue, the hotel speaks to couples and families looking for a contemporary and practical Marrakech for a few days: a coffee in the room, a large wardrobe for your belongings, and a hotel kitchen to follow. It's not a riad: the decor is contemporary, the medina isn't at the foot of the door, and those who come for the patios and alleyways will be better off staying elsewhere.
The trap: a room above the staff parking, noisy in the evening and early morning; specify at booking that you want a different side. The good tip: book at Akira Back, on the roof, for a dinner to mark a special occasion.
