Restaurant la Pastilla review: our verdict
Crispy and generous, the chicken pastilla is the reason we push the door open, and it returns to almost every table. Around it, the menu unfolds Moroccan classics, chicken couscous, seffa, tagines, soup accompanied by briouates with kefta, and tea served with pastries to finish. Sometimes, a few complimentary verrines open the meal.
In the Tagadirt complex, on the Boulevard du 20 Août, the room plays up typical decoration and attentive service, making it a good table for a family or friends discovering Moroccan cuisine. Portions are generous, but prices remain a notch above those of a local eatery. For a late dinner, it is better to aim for another address: the kitchen turns with counted quantities, and dishes run out by the end of the evening.
The dish to order: the chicken pastilla, followed by the seffa if you still have room. The trap: arriving after 10 PM, when several dishes are already out of stock. The good tip: book the rfissa twenty-four hours in advance, as it is prepared only on order.
