Weston review: our verdict
The beef fillet, cooked to perfection and served with silky mashed potato, is a good reason to head up to the first floor of Sela Gallery. Weston has the feel of a chic bistro, featuring a live band that plays without drowning out conversation, alongside fresh starters like avocado-shrimp salad or burrata.
It’s a spot for couples, families, or friends who want music without having to shout over it; the venue stays open until 2 a.m. The staff are attentive most of the time, though service can slip on busy nights, and the fairly short menu includes some less inspired dishes. If you’re planning to watch a match, be careful: a poorly placed table or a broken screen is all it takes to miss the action.
The dish to order: the beef fillet with its mashed potato. The trap: coming to watch a match without checking your view of the screen from your table. The best time: an evening when the band is playing.
