Zing review: our verdict
You have to get past the reception to understand Zing. In the kitchen, Asian fusion is mastered: refined flavors, quality ingredients, and a team capable of returning an undercooked fish before you even raise your hand. On the first floor, on Mohammed VI Avenue, the decor is successful, with a rooftop and terrace for beautiful evenings.
For a dinner between friends or a couple, with a reasonable addition in view of the dish, the address holds up. The service, however, changes from one evening to the next: professional and attentive on some days, overwhelmed at the entrance on others, with tables assigned in disorder and plates cleared too early. The dining room is noisy, and the cigar smoke from a neighboring table can intrude: not ideal for a quiet dinner.
The trap: arriving on a busy evening and counting on the reception to manage the queue. The house opens from 10 am to 2 am, until 3 am on Saturdays, enough to aim for a less crowded slot.
