Fez Café review: our verdict
Past the blue doors, the medina fades behind a garden so lush you'd think you were in the Caribbean. The Fez Café, part of the Jardin des Biehn, nestles among the flowerbeds, and at night, colorful lanterns and painted tables complete the scene: this is when the venue looks its best.
The menu focuses on fresh, seasonal local produce, reimagining classics with a modern touch; it's good, though not mind-blowing. You can order a drink here, including Moroccan rosé, which sets it apart from most medina spots. Whether for a candlelit dinner for two or a green lunch between souks, the setting does all the work. It's not for tight budgets: bills are well above neighborhood prices, and the plates don't always justify them.
The trap: showing up on Thursday, the day off, or without a reservation. The sweet spot: dinner, when the lanterns come to life. As for prices, expect around 120 DH for a salad (updated April 2026).
