Hysushi Marrakech review: our verdict
At Hysushi Marrakech, the rolls break the mold: they come fried, drizzled with sauce, topped with colorful tobiko, and served on large platters or wooden boats. Beside them are crisp nigiri, salmon, tuna, and shrimp sashimi, alongside a Thai and wok section for those who don't eat raw. Everything is prepared fresh to order.
The room is dark and cozy, featuring black slatted walls, wicker pendant lights, and a red neon logo, with a glass-fronted terrace lined with plants on the street side. Service is quick, attentive, and happy to guide you through the menu; you are warmly welcomed even with a baby. It's perfect for a dinner for two or with sushi-loving friends; less so if you're seeking the minimalism of a traditional Japanese counter, as this is a fusion spot.
The dish to order: a homemade roll platter, to taste the creations. The insider tip: leftovers go in a doggy bag, and delivery is available via hysushidelivery.ma. The best time to visit: dinner, when the pendant lights turn on.
