Our review
At 403 rue de la Kasbah, within the La Sultana hotel, this table blends French gastronomy and Moroccan cuisine across two menus that change with the seasons. Vegetables come from gardens in Oualidia and Marrakech, fish from the Oualidia lagoon. You'll find revisited Moroccan salads, a well-executed meunière turbot, and homemade breads and pastries.
The setting adds much: an Almohad-style patio under brick vaults, dinner by the poolside, or a drink on the rooftop terrace to the sound of the oud, with the Kasbah all around. The atmosphere remains intimate, apart from the bustle of the medina. Service is attentive, and sommeliers know how to guide you through a wine list featuring French and Moroccan wines. An address for a birthday, a marriage proposal, or a dinner with friends who want to treat themselves.
Note: the table serves only in the evening, from 7:30 PM to 11:00 PM, and the budget runs around 700 to 1,000 dirhams per person with wine. Book in advance, specifying whether you prefer the poolside or the rooftop.
