Ms. Krabs review: our verdict
The specialty bears the name of the house: a Cajun crab dish, with shrimp, mussels, potatoes and corn stacked on a bed of rice, seasoned with a spicy sauce. Around it, a no-frills seafood menu: a well-stocked fish soup, prawn and pea paella, seafood tajine, and shrimp pasta. To finish, freshly baked cookies served still hot.
The bright dining room, featuring the house mascot painted on the wall, could use a refresh, but the team makes up for it: smiling welcome, quick and attentive service. It's the spot for a casual lunch or a relaxed dinner with friends, on Avenue des FAR in Cité Taddart. Not the place for a chic evening out: you come for the plate, not the setting.
The dish to order: the Cajun crab, the reason for the house's existence. The good tip: keep a seat for a hot cookie. Note: closed on Fridays, open from 12:30 to 23:00 on other days.
