Okinawa Sushi review: our verdict
Okinawa Sushi's interior is far from plain, featuring a wall adorned with retro Japanese posters, a blossoming cherry tree, blue-patterned armchairs, and red neon lighting for sushi enthusiasts. The menu follows this vibrant theme, offering platters of filled rolls, beef and marinated egg ramen, thick shrimp soup, and stir-fried beef noodles.
Outside on the street, a glass-enclosed veranda with artificial turf provides a brighter setting during midday. The on-site service is pleasant, and the restaurant also prepares custom buffets for large groups, including desserts. It is ideal for a dinner among friends interested in Asian cuisine in a broad sense, but not for sushi purists or those seeking quick delivery orders, where mistakes are poorly handled.
The dish to order is a platter of rolls, followed by a dessert. The catch is delivery during peak hours, so it is better to dine in. The best time to visit is midday at the veranda; the house serves every day from noon until midnight.
