Soma Sushi review: our verdict
At Soma Sushi, sushi is prepared right before your eyes, ensuring freshness with a selection of maki boats, California rolls, and fry rolls, alongside salmon nigiri and crunchy shrimp salads. The broader Asian cuisine completes the menu with wok-stir-fried noodles and vegetables, spring rolls, breaded beef skewers, and sesame beef rolls. To finish, enjoy their homemade raspberry cheesecake.
Operating under the Sushi House sign, the venue offers around thirty seats, including sixteen on the sidewalk terrace and an air-conditioned dining room. Service is quick and friendly, with a team that has cultivated a loyal regulars' base over the years. It's an excellent choice for a couple's meal, gathering with friends, or takeout at reasonable prices, though it's not suited for formal dinners given its simple setting.
The dish to order: a shareable boat of sushi followed by the raspberry cheesecake. Watch out for Mondays, when the restaurant is closed. The best time to visit is in the evening on the terrace, as the kitchen serves until 11:45 PM.
