Aya Belkahia review: our verdict
At Aya Belkahia, everything is designed to catch the eye: an elegant storefront, neat presentations, and festive cakes like the Cipriani, alongside flan, Comté-parmesan shortbread, and brookie. It is in the tasting that the gap widens: a dry, unremarkable flan, shortbread where the cheese plays a minor role, a cake overly soaked in syrup, and hot chocolate lacking body.
The selection is limited, portions are small, and prices target the high end of the Casablanca market. You can visit out of curiosity to judge by the cup with a coffee, or have it delivered, since the house offers delivery. However, for a blind-order birthday cake, proceed with caution: at this price point, it is better to know what you are buying before cutting the first slice in front of guests.
The trap: the Cipriani at 510 DH for six people, or a simple brookie priced at 80 DH (figures from November 2025), purchased without having tasted the house. The bargain: a single slice at 90 DH in March 2026, to form an opinion before going further.
