Aïku review: our verdict
To see the sea during the day from Aïku, you must come on Sunday: it is the only day the Japanese table of the Corniche lighthouse opens from noon. The rest of the time, it is an evening address, with the ocean in the night. On the plate, Japanese cuisine that bets on freshness, sushi first, with well-presented dishes full of flavor.
Terrace, sea view, air-conditioned room, elegant atmosphere: Aïku aims for couple dinners or outings between friends who want a setting. Service is professional, welcome warm. However, there is no point thinking about it for a weekday lunch: from Monday to Saturday, nothing before 7 p.m., and one comes here for the sea as much as for raw fish.
The dish to order: the sushi, which Aïku's kitchen sends very fresh. The good slot: Sunday noon, for the terrace and the ocean in full daylight, by booking.
