Café Bianca review: our verdict
For years, the brunchy formula carried Café Bianca: chocolate pancakes or crêpes, croque-monsieur, eggs, a bowl of yogurt with chia seeds and raspberries, freshly pressed orange juice, and hot drinks. Since summer 2025, the portion has shrunk: pancakes half the size, yogurt in a pot, less generously filled croque-monsieur, and sometimes dry toast. The décor, however, hasn't changed, with its terrace and a view that remains the establishment's best selling point.
Open from 7 am to 11 pm every day, the place attracts an affluent clientele and families. Prices are high, and service doesn't always follow: slow, inattentive, with drinks arriving long before the dishes. Not for a team brunch where everyone watches the clock, nor for a tight budget, nor for lingering: the chairs aren't made for long mornings.
The trap: ordering the full formula hoping to find the brunch of before; it has lost in generosity as well as presentation. The good deal: a coffee or juice on the terrace, for the view, without expecting more from the kitchen.
