La Table by Madada review: our verdict
The reason to visit is the sea spider: its flesh, gratinated in the oven within its own shell, arrives with saffron rice and a salad that is both delicate and generous. Before that, a fish soup or grilled calamari with herbs; then a grilled fennel sea bass fillet, and finally a floating island. Every dish is plated with precision.
This is the table of Riad Madada, open to passing guests in the evening: stone vaulted ceilings, large orange lamps, benches and white tablecloths. The service is discreet, smiling and precise. It is the address for a birthday, a dinner for two or a family evening that counts; not for an improvised lunch, since the house opens only in the evening, nor for a tight budget.
The dish to order: gratinated sea spider. The trap: arriving without a reservation, as the dining room is very popular. To note: service from 7pm to 11pm, closed on Tuesdays.
